Radical Capitalism and The Elite

The AP and Forbes Magazine reported today that Michael Chertoff said that "Illegal migrants really degrade the environment.

You gotta wonder what will be next on the ‘degrading the environment’ list for these people? Are the homeless to be next? And then the abjectly poor? Gays? Democrats? Dissenters against the neo-con/radical capitalistic people with the real money in America?

Where does this downward spiral into this country of America as defined by the chauvinistic zealots and their minions currently empowered by wealth built on the blood and sweat of the working people and the poor end?

Do we face either virtual or, indeed, real imprisonment for being less than unimaginably wealthy; for being outside the narrowly defined norm which these mega-rich have arbitrarily defined as the portion of the population with the inherent right to survive and prosper?

Will the “mentally ill”, the victims of Down Syndrome, cripples, and other air breathers as defined by this sick and vastly powerful and tiny top of the economic triangle be eventually destroyed so that the children and grandchildren of the essentially useless wealthy can survive in a non-crowded world?

Where does it end? Do the elite 10% of the richest of the population destroy the rest of us so that they can survive a few decades or centuries longer in a world that their pursuit of wealth has destroyed?

"Degrade the environment", indeed...

Puts a whole new twist on survival of the fittest doesn't it? If the fittest means the wealthiest, no wonder they've priced us out of health care. Fewer peasants to deal with after the next pandemic.
